Skin cancers of the face are becoming more and more prevalent today, and presents a unique challenge since the area is rarely covered with any consistency whatsoever. Balance and appearance of facial features and eyelids are ultimately important when preforming facial surgery, but function is even more important. There are multiple treatment options for skin cancer.
Each situation and patient is unique, so during a consultation multiple treatment options will be considered and discussed. Options might include surgical treatments like topical treatments, frozen sectioning or MOHS, chemotherapies, and sometimes even radiation modalities. In the end, surgical procedures and treatments will be focused on attaining the best-case anatomic function, while achieving the optimal aesthetic result.
