Oculoplastic surgical procedures include:

Drooping eyelid or eyebrow repair (Ptosis)
Removal of excess skin and fat around the eyes (Blepharoplasty)
Repairing in-turning and out-turning of the lower eyelids (Entropions & Ectropions)
Blocked tear duct drainage system (Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction Repair)
Reconstruction of eyelid for skin cancers
Eyelid reconstruction following traumatic facial injury
Chalazion drainage

What to expect

Pre-operative instructions (typically includes not eating or drinking after midnight the night before your surgery)
A specified arrival time
You and the surgical team will determine the appropriate type of sedation (typically intravenous sedation & a local anesthetic to numb around the eye)
Additional nurses and technicians will be present to assist with your procedure (surgical procedures normally take 30 minutes to an hour)
Post-operative instructions after you procedure has been completed
Make prior arrangements to be driven home by a family member or friend
